Requirements for obtaining BiH Visa
REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING BiH VISA

Listed below are documents required when applying for a visa to Bosnia and Herzegovina: 1. A valid passport of applicant which should be valid at least 90 days after the visa is intended to expire 2. Visa Application form completed and signed 3. Copy of valid US Visa or Alien Registration card 4. Copy of round trip ticket or itinerary 5. One passport size photo In addition to the above, following items must be presented: a) If traveling as a tourist: 1. Voucher from a travel agency stating that the trip has been paid for in full. 2. Copy of the last bank statement or other proof of sufficient funds to cover the expenses during the stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
b) If visiting friends and/or relatives: 1. Letter extending an invitation from the citizen or foreigner who is legally residing in BiH which you intend to visit, verified by appropriate bodies (Administrative Body and Organizational Unit of the Ministry of Security of BiH, i.e. local office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). The letter should contain details of the inviter and of the invitee, including the passport number as well as a declaration that the inviter is going to provide accommodation , cover medical expenses, as well as all other potential expenses that may arise during invitee's stay in BiH.
c) If traveling on business: 1. Letter from employer stating the purpose of your trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina 2. Letter extending an invitation from the citizen or foreign who is legally residing in BiH, verified by appropriate bodies (Organizational Unit of the Ministry of Security of BiH, i.e. local office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The invitation should contain details of the inviter and invitee, including the passport number as well as a declaration that the inviter is going to provide accommodation, and cover all medical expenses, as well as all other potential expenses that may arise during invitee's stay in BiH.
III Fee (not including postage) Cashier's check or money order for the required amount. Payments must be made in money order/cashier's check payable to the Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina Chicago. Personal checks cannot be accepted. NOTE: Applications should be made at least 3 days, and at most 30 days before your intended departure date. Visa processing fees cover the costs of handling your application and will not be refunded, even if your application is refused. A personal interview is required. |
